CLIENT RIGHTS
- To be informed about the sustainability criteria implemented by the organization in its internal processes (environmental, sociocultural, economic, and safety-related).
- To be informed about the current applicable legislation and the sanctioning regime related to the illegal trafficking of flora and fauna, CSEC (Commercial Sexual Exploitation of Children), discrimination, and exclusion.
- To know the safety recommendations to be followed at the destinations to be visited.To enjoy the tourist sites at the destinations.
- To receive reliable and quality information about the tourist sites they visit.
- To be treated with respect, equality, and without any kind of discrimination.
- To know the policies and guidelines regarding the services provided by Destino Colombia.
- To report any complaints, claims, or feedback regarding the service provided.
CLIENT DUTIES
- To respect the culture, beliefs, traditions, and habits of the people at the destination.
- To make appropriate use of the facilities and resources such as water and energy at the places visited.
- To respect the biodiversity of the destinations.
- To comply with the current regulations to prevent the commercial sexual exploitation of minors and report it in case of evidence.
- To refrain from any discriminatory or exclusionary behavior toward other users, staff, and local communities at the destinations.
SUPPLIER RIGHTS
- To be informed about the sustainability criteria implemented by the organization in its internal processes (environmental, sociocultural, economic, and safety-related).
- To receive fair and timely payment for the services and products sold.
- To be treated with dignity and respect.
- To present complaints related to the commercial relationship with the agency.
- To be evaluated impartially and objectively.
- To be given preference if they are suppliers from the regions visited by tourists.
- To participate in training programs scheduled by the agency or intermediaries.
SUPPLIER DUTIES
- To comply with the legal regulations applicable to their commercial activities.
- To work toward improving their processes and products to make them more environmentally responsible.
- To attend agency calls to provide information related to the Tourism Sustainability Program.
- To comply with the contractual conditions regarding the provision of services or product sales.
- To report any negative environmental, sociocultural, or economic impact that may be observed within the agency.
- To make rational and efficient use of natural resources in the process of product manufacturing and service provision, including storage and transportation.
- To assign competent personnel for the contracted activities.
- To meet the legal requirements for preventing the commercial sexual exploitation of minors and report any evidence of such.
EMPLOYEE RIGHTS
- To receive training and other forms of education related to sustainable management scheduled by the agency.
- To know the legal requirements applicable to tourists regarding tourism and lodging activities.
- To participate in activities scheduled by Destino Colombia.
- To have access to information about the management of natural, sociocultural, and economic resources that affect the agency.
- To be treated fairly and respectfully, free from any kind of discrimination.
- To know their roles and responsibilities regarding the Tourism Sustainability Program.
- To receive fair compensation and decent and safe working conditions.
- To be aware of the standard content and each individual’s responsibilities in its implementation.
EMPLOYEE DUTIES
- To comply with the policy, objectives, and activities assigned to maintain and improve the tourism sustainability program.
- To apply the training received to strengthen their professional competencies.
- To fulfill the sustainability responsibilities assigned by the system leader.
- To be informed about and comply with the legal requirements to prevent the commercial sexual exploitation of minors and report any evidence.
- To support the agency’s sustainability policy and objectives.
- To provide timely and accurate information to clients about the tourist attractions of the destination.
- To report any situation that goes against the policy and objectives of the sustainability program.
- To inform tourists about safety recommendations to be followed at the destinations visited.
