CLIENT RIGHTS

  • Be informed about the sustainability criteria implemented by the organization in its internal processes (environmental, sociocultural, economic, and security).
  • Be informed about applicable legislation and the sanctions related to the illegal trafficking of flora and fauna, the sexual exploitation of children and adolescents (ESCNNA), discrimination, and exclusion.
  • Know the security recommendations to follow at the destinations they visit.
  • Enjoy the tourist sites of the destinations to be visited.
  • Receive reliable and high-quality information about the tourist sites they visit.
  • Be treated with respect, equality, and without any form of discrimination.
  • Know the policies and guidelines for the provision of services by Destino Colombia.
  • Communicate any complaint, claim, or comment regarding the service provided.

CLIENT DUTIES

  • Respect the culture, beliefs, traditions, and customs of the people at the destination.
  • Make appropriate use of the facilities and resources such as water and energy at the places visited.
  • Respect the biodiversity of the destinations visited.
  • Comply with the current regulations to prevent the commercial sexual exploitation of minors and report any evidence of such activities.
  • Refrain from engaging in discriminatory or exclusionary behavior towards other users, employees, or the communities of the destinations visited.

SUPPLIER RIGHTS

  • Be informed about the sustainability criteria implemented by the organization in its internal processes (environmental, sociocultural, economic, and security).
  • Receive fair and timely payment for their services and products sold.
  • Be treated with dignity and respect.
  • Submit claims related to the commercial relationship with the agency.
  • Be evaluated impartially and objectively.
  • Be preferred as suppliers from the regions visited by tourists.
  • Participate in training sessions organized by the agency or intermediaries.

SUPPLIER DUTIES

  • Comply with current legal regulations to carry out their commercial activities.
  • Strive to improve their processes and products to make them more environmentally responsible.
  • Attend agency meetings to provide information about the Tourism Sustainability Program.
  • Comply with contractual conditions for service provision or product sales.
  • Communicate any negative impact on environmental, sociocultural, and economic aspects that may be identified in the agency.
  • Use natural resources rationally and efficiently in the production process and service provision, including storage and transportation.
  • Assign competent personnel to carry out contracted activities.
  • Comply with legal requirements to prevent the commercial sexual exploitation of minors and report any evidence.

EMPLOYEE RIGHTS

  • Receive training and other education related to sustainable management, organized by the agency.
  • Know the legal requirements applicable to tourists for tourism and lodging activities.
  • Participate in activities organized by Destino Colombia.
  • Be informed about the management of natural, sociocultural, and economic resources affecting the agency.
  • Be treated fairly and respectfully, free from any form of discrimination.
  • Know their roles and responsibilities concerning the Tourism Sustainability Program.
  • Receive fair remuneration and dignified and safe working conditions.
  • Be informed of the standards and each employee’s responsibility in implementing them.

EMPLOYEE DUTIES

  • Comply with the policy, objectives, and assigned activities to maintain and improve the Tourism Sustainability Program.
  • Adhere to the training received to strengthen their work competencies.
  • Fulfill the sustainability responsibilities assigned by the system leader.
  • Report and comply with legal requirements to prevent the commercial sexual exploitation of minors and report any evidence.
  • Comply with the agency’s sustainability objectives and policy.
  • Provide timely and accurate information to clients about the tourist attractions at the destination.
  • Report any situation that goes against the policy and objectives of the Tourism Sustainability Program.
  • Inform tourists about safety recommendations they must follow at the destinations visited.
