The attractive city of Valledupar became famous as the birthplace of Colombia’s favorite music: vallenato. However, it is much less known as the gateway to some of the most spectacular natural areas of the Colombian Caribbean, high in the mountains of the Sierra Nevada.

Itinerary

Day 01 :
Festivalero Tour

We will visit the different venues where the preliminary competitions of the Vallenato Festival take place: accordionists, original song, and “piquería” (freestyle contest).

Day 02 :
Accordion Museum Visit

“Sounds of the Accordion” Tour with Master Beto Murgas

Cultural experience in the authentic Accordion Museum, where you will learn about the importance of the accordion in Vallenato music—its origin, evolution, and sounds.

Day 03 :
Diomedes Díaz Tour

Discover the life and musical legacy of the greatest figure of Vallenato folklore, the legendary Diomedes Díaz.

Day 04 :
Rivers of the Sierra Nevada Tour

Discover a tour filled with history, inspiration, and poetry through the northern foothills of the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta, home to the Kankuamo Indigenous community.
